Gadgets gone too far

What do you call something that is limp, does nothing, and is “cold” until you put your hand on it. I’ll give you three guesses. Nope. Sorry. You really are a sicko. The answer is, a remote control. Someone at Panasonic had the bright idea to make a remote control out of gel that responds to the touch of the human hand. When it’s off, it’s limp, doesn’t move, and looks a lot like, well… Anyway, when it senses a hand approaching, the remote becomes rigid, appears to “warm up” (from a small led light inside it), and becomes responsive. Seriously, we really need this?
I’ve seen some strange things in my day, but 
Guitar Hero: Van Halen has been announced by Activision. No word if it will be a Sammy Hagar, David Lee Roth, or “best of both worlds” version, but there will be songs from VH fans and influences Queens of the Stone Age, Weezer, Queen, and The Offspring.
